Have you tested DEEP-LINKING yet when including URL(s) in your RESOURCE BOX?

Example: This is what most authors do: http://Your-Company-Name.com/

But, if you included a deep link from your site, you'd have this example URL in your RESOURCE BOX: http://Your-Company-Name.com/triathlete/

The idea is to drive visitors into hundreds or thousands of points into your site rather than only your home page.

Any thoughts on this approach?

Now there's a thought! Actually I have done it a little, not regularly, but hey, c'mon Chris - you can't give out these brilliant nudges and then ask us not to go mad and use them Laughing

It will certainly make me stop and think a bit more about my resource box content though Wink

Here's an example of an author that uses all (3) types of URL's in his resource box:

He has an anchored text link, a full http:// regular URL and a full http:// deep URL into his site.

Yes,

Usually, when one of my sub-pages gets some traffic, that is an indication that it is somewhere high in the search engines without any links. This is the case with blog entries and articles submitted to an article directory. If I as the author want more traffic to come to this page, I write an article and give it some back links pushing it higher in the search engine.

I usually have a link to the main page so most of the traffic makes it there as well.
