Frequently Asked Questions
Section 7: Live Articles

How do I edit my live articles?
With the exception of article titles, you may edit your existing article content while your article is live. This edit benefit is for minor changes like a misspelling or a word choice change. A heavy edit will be rejected as too much of the article content is being changed. We don't want to look foolish to the search engines who may wonder why your article changes position often. If you feel the need to change more than what can be accomplished in a simple edit, consider writing a new article.
- Log in to your EzineArticles Expert Author Account
- Select "Edit an Article" from the "Article Manager" drop-down menu
- Click on the "Edit" function of the article you wish to edit.

- Make your changes to the article
- Click on the "I agree to the Alternate Author Name Terms of Service" check box
- Select "Submit This Article"

* A common pitfall is in deleting your article, making edits, and trying to resubmit it. We track every article deletion and your resubmit will be rejected as a duplicate. It is best to make minor changes when your credibility is on the line, delete the article because it's no longer relevant to your area or the information is wrong, or write a new article to replace it.

What happens to my live article after I submit the recommended edits?
Every article edit must pass our current Editorial Guidelines. We do not grandfather articles even if your existing one was live for 2 years.
While your article is in modification (a fancy name for your article being in our article review queues) your existing article will remain live. If we find that your modified article does not pass our article review, we will notify you via email. This rejection does not affect your currently live article.
Your article modification will remain in your account for 30 days allowing you time to make the recommended changes. If after 30 days and no action on the modification is taken, it will be removed.
*We may choose to remove your live article or place it in problem status if it is in blatant violation of our Editorial Guidelines or provides a poor user-experience.
