• What is an alternate author name?

  An alternate author name is a name that is added to your primary account. You do this when you want to branch out of your areas of expertise and brand each name to a specific niche or industry.

  For example, Brandon McGregor is an expert in three subjects: Parenting, Health and Fitness, and Sports. Within each niche, he can brand using alternate author names (pen names).

  Brandon Mac writes articles about Parenting.
  B. McGregor writes about Health and Fitness.
  Brandon McGregor writes about Sports.

• How do I add an alternate author name to my Membership Account?

  1. Log into your EzineArticles Expert Author Account.
  2. Select "Edit Author Names" from the "Profile Manager" drop-down menu
  3. Scroll down the page to "Add an Alternate Author Name"
  4. Click on the "Alternate Author Name Terms of Service" text link to review the TOS
  5. Click on the "I agree to the Alternate Author Name Terms of Service" check box
  6. Type your alternate author name in the field labeled "Name to Add"
  7. Click

• My name is spelled incorrectly - how do I fix this?

  1. Log in to your EzineArticles member account
  2. Select "Edit Author Names" from the "Profile Manager" drop-down menu
  3. Scroll down the page to "Change Author Name Request"
  4. Click on the "Name to Change" from the text box
  5. Type your corrected author name in the field labeled "Change To"
  6. Click

  Your revised author name will be reviewed by a member of our team in 24-48 hours.

• I want to submit articles for my boss/client/partner - how should I do that?

  Assuming you have the permission of this person, the best way to do this is to create an Alternate Author name in your account for the person you are submitting these articles for. To do this,

  1. Log in to your EzineArticles Expert Author Account
  2. Select "Edit Author Names" from the "Profile Manager" drop-down menu
  3. Scroll down the page to "Add an Alternate Author Name"
  4. Click on the "Alternate Author Name Terms of Service" text link to review the TOS
  5. Click on the "I agree to the Alternate Author Name Terms of Service" check box
  6. Type your alternate author name in the field labeled "Name to Add"
  7. Click

  Once you have created the Alternate Author, you will have the option to use it the next time you submit an article.
