Which Side is Bank One? Related to Firing Order and Oxygen Sensor Replacement It's important to know which bank (or cylinder head) is number one to help determine a starting point for firing order or just to replace the correct part, like an Oxygen sensor, fuel injector or ignition coil. In the past all that was needed to determine which bank or cylinder head is number one was to see which cylinder head is positioned the farthest forward. Subject: 4.7 Toyota Tundra P0135 Code
Just had a P0135 Oxygen sensor code - bank 1 sensor 1. The cylinders are even on the Toyota 4.7, so I couldn't tell which side was bank one. In checking in the Mitchell repair manual I determined that bank one is on the driver's side and sensor one means it is the one before the catalytic converter. Thought I would pass that along.
