What About the OTHER Breast?
By Monika Shaw

You found the lump in one of your breasts. You have spoken with your doctor, and now you have decisions to make. Do I have a double mastectomy or just on the breast that has the lump? What do I do about the other breast? That one is fine, has feeling, is normal, what about that one?

Subject: What About The Other Breast

Life is made up of "defining moments" and "defining decisions". This article addresses one of those "defining decisions" for women in a touching, empathetic and articulate fashion.

Even when we face difficulties that can be life altering, mental preparation through the advice of others and self introspection can provide the groundwork for conquering, surviving and succeeding as a "winner" in this life.

A great article from someone who has been there, carefully addressed the options, and is a conqueror and survivor.

I recommend you share this "empowering" article with friends and family. It can make a real difference when it comes to one of those "defining decisions" some of us are forced to make in life.

Thank you Monika for your advice and encouragement.

Subject: The Other Breast by Monika Shaw

Congrats, breast cancer WINNER! How Blessed women- facing these decisions- truly are with the knowledge you impart. We are faced with challenges and decision making everyday. Of course, they fall on a sliding scale from easy to extremely difficult. Women, facing the decisions concerning the 'other breast' slide OFF that scale. So many women are no where near having their basket filled with those kinds of answers. That's when the scramble begins. Who? What? When? Where? WHY? The questions come quickly ... the answers... not so much.

Monika puts all of this into perspective so eloquently. She is a Winner, therefore, equipped with a full basket. It didn't start out that way, but, she's made it her goal in life to help other women be prepared with baskets half full rather than half empty. Through her Journey's in this life...Monika has been collecting the tools to survive for "such a time as this"~

Her passionate love for life and doing God's Will while here, makes her the ultimate definition of being a Winning Woman! We ALL are, however, knowing what that means is a journey in and of itself.

To all women who may be challenged with a diagnosis of cancer, you will be faced with difficult decisions also. Are you going to take the path of a Winning Woman or will you be the one with the empty basket? I chose the path towards winning...twice. No, it's never easy but, with the right tools ahead of time... you'll begin that journey and every other trial in life, with a basket full of WINS!!!

Monika, thank you for giving of yourself, your expertise and your knowledge so freely. You have shown me, along with thousands of other women, the path of least resistance for facing future journeys in our lives. We will never walk alone, for He lights the way.

I choose to be a Winning Woman! I pray that ALL women will find their way to that ultimate prize on any journey. Say it ladies, "I AM a Winning Woman!!!"

In Him~I am, Disa Albanese
