The difference between film and digital photography

The debate “film vs. digital” is going on while digital cameras become more and more pervasive. Everybody has an opinion and usually a passionate one. Though there is no one definitive right answer there are differences between film and digital that can be better understood and there is also a practical fact – digital is taking over. More and more cameras sold today are digital cameras and more and more photos taken are on digital media. This article will provide a few facts about the differences between the two.

I have to disagree with the author on the topic of quality. While the capture may come close with some of the newer digital cameras the output is still lacking. Until the output devices catch up with the capture devices film is still your best bet if you will be doing any sort of printing.
