Subject: Carson City Morgan Dollars Hello, Marianne Grill; I am a coin collector and can tell you that a person can discern as to if the Carson City mint produced a Morgan Dollar simply by looking at the reverse (tail sides) of the coin. If a Morgan Dollar has the initials "CC" located below the big wreath on the back of the coin, then that dollar was produced at the Carson City mint. Good luck and happy collecting!
