The Role of the Church Intellectual

Many times in the church, the concept of an intellectual is not always well received. It brings visions of faithlessness and the dependence on ones own thought processes in order to explain and describe an all-powerful God. From the 1600's to the 1800's was an era in human history that brought about the Age of Genius, The Enlightenment and the Age of Reason where logic, reason and observation became the only method in which to understand the credibility of events and reality.
