Since having school aged children do you ever have an entire weekend with no scheduled activities? Wouldn't you love to have a weekend to just"chill"at home with the kids? Do you regularly go on family bike rides or walks around the neighborhood? Families of school aged children are now more than ever finding themselves "overscheduled." I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article The Oversheduled Family by Jill Sisler. I agree with her wholeheartedly. While both of my children are now grown, when they were young they were involved in outside activities which they thoroughly enjoyed, but family time was definitely their favorite time. Whether having dinner together and talking about the day's events, playing a board game, or simply watching a TV program together, the time spent together left all with a warm, satisfying feeling and lots of memories. My grown up kids still talk about "family time" and how important it was to them.
