The Downside of Homeschooling Homeschooling has become really popular these past years especially with children who are tired of the old school routine. With homeschooling, students enjoy greater freedom, flexibility and dynamism. Still, there are some that do not feel that the homeschooling program is for everyone. Some believe that not all children can benefit from the program and that specific groups of children are the only ones who can get the most out of homeschool. While I believe it true that home schooling is not for everyone, I do not believe in all reasons sited. Financial reasons is the number one reason I think most can't do it. The parent cannot stay home. But socializing should not be sited. There are so many ways to socialize that are so much more beneficial to the child than a public school setting. After you get out of school when do you ever sit in a room with people all your own age? There are so many home school sport groups and other activities I can not list them all here Here’s a few: bowling, church, skating, beach, groups get together and do field trips.
