The Biggest Mistake God Ever Made
By Gregory Vanden Berge

I know that most of the people who believe in the God of the Old Testament, don't really want to believe that he ever made a mistake, but he made quite a few. God said that he would never flood the earth and kill every living thing on the planet again.

Your article shows that you do not know or understand who God is. Start in Genesis and you will see that all He created was good. Then sin and Satan entered and man carried out evil workings ever since. Man invented all of these religions, not God. Your question of why He allowed these different religions...well why not carry this further? Why does He allow crime, hatred, sickness etc? If He controls one thing, then to be consistent He must control everything else. So would you want to be ruled by a God who controls every aspect of your life? Controls every thought, every action, every outcome? You wouldn't be able to decide if you wanted bran flakes or Wheaties. Do you want to be a puppet? I don't think so. Talk about the ultimate dictator. No, God is a loving God, who created us with minds, the ability to think and reason, and make our own decisions but unfortunately some of those decisions are catastrophic. But He doesn't just throw us to the wolves either and that's why we have the Bible, to give us His laws, to tell us how to live, to warn us of various things, and to encourage us to have a relationship with Him. We can choose to follow Him or not. He's not going to force us to choose Him or force us to love Him - that's not real love. God does intervene sometimes as He sees fit because He is God but all manner of sin will be paid for on Judgment day.

If I'm wrong, Can you show god to me? The information you are providing for me is out of a book that doesn't have enough evidence to support some of the claims it makes.

Who's crazier someone who believes in something with out evidence or someone who does?

Again, you are mistaken. The bible has tons of proof and evidence to back up its claims by fulfilled prophecy alone. Some are fulfilled within its pages, and some have been fulfilled in the 20th century which means you can verify these things as they are historical. So blind faith doesn't enter the picture here. What's crazy is (blindly) believing something a person says without doing the research yourself. If you are seriously looking for the truth, you WILL find it.

If I am mistaken, could you show me some prophecies that have been fulfilled. Don't tell me something, that someone told you or something that you learned from the Bible, that doesn't have any evidence to support the claims.

You said that prophecies have been fulfilled in the 20th century, could you give me a few of them. This is usually when Christians stop writing to me. Put your money where your mouth is and show me that I'm wrong.

Subject: Fulfilled prophecies in 20th century

1. The Jewish people will be regathered in unbelief from the four corners of the earth (Isaiah 11:11-12). Fulfillment: 20th Century and continuing.

2. The state of Israel will be re-established (Isaiah 66:7-8 & Ezekiel 37:21-22). Fulfillment: May 14, 1948.

3. The Jews will once again re-occupy the city of Jerusalem (Zechariah 8:4-8), Fulfillment: June 7, 1967.

4. The land of Israel will be reclaimed from its desolation, becoming once again a land of agricultural abundance (Ezekiel 36:34-35). Fulfillment: 20th Century and continuing.

5. The Hebrew language will be revived from the dead (Zephaniah 3:9). Fulfillment: 19th & 20th Centuries.

6. All the nations of the world will come together against Israel over the issue of the control of Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:1-3). Fulfillment: Currently occurring.

I've 'put my money where my mouth is' and so my question is, are you willing to admit that you might be wrong? Are you even able to accept the possibility?

There are a lot of archaeological findings that support the bible and these people are scientists with no religious bias. I'm including a link to a site that lists these findings but I don't know if Ezine will allow it. http://www.facingthechallenge.org/arch2.php

I didn't even get into the extra-biblical writings (that means people who were eye witnesses who recorded certain events which support the bible)

But the biggest evidence that I have that God exists, that the bible is true, that Jesus is real is my life and my heart. (I don't expect this to satisfy you btw) I am not the same person I was 10 years ago and I'm not talking about natural changes we all go through with age. I'm talking 100% radical change of heart, change of mind, change of lifestyle, able to see things differently and biblically, able to forgive, to love, to have mercy, to encourage, a desire to know Him, to put others above me, and the list goes on.

After seeing your youtube site and your books that you've written, I don't think you are actually looking for answers. You are not truly seeking God and so I'm not going to jump through hoops to try to please you because it's in vain and I'm not going to waste my time. There is overwhelming evidence out there as to the validity of the bible and the existence of God and you can find it if you want to. Like it or not, believe it or not, God is real and you will answer to Him one day and you will be judged accordingly. If you ever get serious about this, look me up. I wish you well.

Subject: Your Right

I've 'put my money where my mouth is' and so my question is, are you willing to admit that you might be wrong? Are you even able to accept the possibility?

The answer to this question is yes, if Christians, including yourself could provide me with enough information or some physical evidence, I, unlike most Christians will be very interested in it.

Let me just take one of your examples and evaluate it. 3. The Jews will once again re-occupy the city of Jerusalem. I agree with you, this actually happened and you are without a doubt correct. But could these Bible verses mean something else or does it only pertain to the 1967 events. What would happen to this Bible verse, if a country from the east and or the West attacked and conquered Jerusalem. Then 100 years later, it was re-occupy by Christians or Jews and this prophecy was fulfilled again? These are the things that I have problems with in the Bible. Someone tells me that this or that is a fact, yet it's just the current truth.

Zechariah 8:4-8 (New International Version)

4 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with cane in hand because of his age. 5 The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there."

6 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "It may seem marvelous to the remnant of this people at that time, but will it seem marvelous to me?" declares the LORD Almighty.

7 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west. 8 I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God."

In verse seven, it states that God will save his people from the countries. If I read that literally, are the Jews God's people or the Christians, because the Jews seem to be occupying Jerusalem today. It sounds like you're a Christian, but this prophecy seems to be fulfilled by Jewish people. Are the Jews or the Christians, God's chosen ones? Is the Bible referring to Christians as occupying Jerusalem?

These are the kinds of problems that I have with Christians who tell me that they have evidence, but really haven't spent enough time evaluating all of the possibilities and to only accept one. When you tell me that there are things in the Bible that are true and show me things like this, I can't argue with you at all, but some of these verses are pretty vague. If you were to tell me that the Bible was the written word of God, a flood covered the earth and killed all of the living creatures and then repopulated, Jesus was born of immaculate conception, God created the universe, you only get to go to heaven through your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we have been forgiven for our sins, yet asked forgiveness on a regular basis, it gets kind of confusing.

I'm not trying to get people to convert to something or go away from something. My main goal is to get people to start thinking about those things that they so dearly believe in. It's funny how you view me as a vain individual, simply because I'm stepping on your beliefs. The article that you sent me too, is similar to those facts that you are pretty sent me. I can't argue with some of the facts that are listed in the Holy Bible, but what about those that I can argue with.

I understand that you don't want to waste any more time, but are there things written in the Bible that contradict each other or seem like they would be extremely difficult to prove to be factual?
