Bravo, Sarah. The easiest tasks are often the most complex to get started because we think someone else will do it and we lend ourselves to things more challenging to our grey matter. So it is with racism. It would be so easy for each of us to start the day with a personal pledge to deal with each individual we encounter as a person of worth and dignity. Presto, racism would, eventually, disappear. Unfortunately, we're too busy looking for the hard things to do- like finding a parking place or pushing a remote button where some talking head tells us how we, statistically, ought to act. Wake up, America!
