Subject: RE - 1st comment I agree that rates may be higher for products that do not require a medical exam, but in some cases they are only a couple of dollars a month higher. Only the few people who could qualify for the top "preferred" rate class will see a big difference. And I have seen policies with face values up to 400k that do not require a medical exam. In addition, sometimes the coverage benefits are graded, not being 100% available until after 1-2 years of policy ownership.
