Subject: Stock Broker Salary?
Reading this article would be depressing if I weren't already in the industry. I work in a small New York City firm with roughly 30 brokers. Four of them make north of a million dollars a year. Most take home $300,000-600,000. The rest hover some where around $200,000. trainees get $1,000 a month until they become licensed. After that they have to open 40 accounts before going on their own. In the first year expect to make about $50,000. That's including training time. In the second year if you aren't hitting six figures you suck.
Keep in mind a lot depends of the commissions your firm charges. If you want to make $40,000 a year go get a job at Walmart.
