RV Dump Stations and Holding Tanks RV dump stations everywhere are closing down operation due to several reasons. Some, but not all of these reasons are the costs and headaches involved to keep them operating and properly maintained, the wrong types of chemicals used by RVers and because of neglect and poor housekeeping by people who use these dump stations. Subject: Dump Station - RV Hoses
Hopefully this will create some conversation about our problem. We have two(2) on site dump stations. We have camping or about 500 units during our Fair and also host numberous trailer rallies.
Twice in the past three(3) years we have had to use a large company to unplug our sewer system because the RV sewer hoses have become disconnected from the units and gone down the dump station line. The irresponsible camper has neglected to inform us of this and we find out later, usually weeks, that the entire system is plugged because of this obstruction.
Where would we go to have a fix of this problem? Has anyother facilities had similar problems?
Having the availability of the dump stations promotes the use of our facility for our rallies.
Thanks for listening.
