Planetary Aspects Continually Affect the Earth and Its Inhabitants The Earth and all its inhabitants are continually bathed in cosmic stardust and energy patterns that are mostly invisible and largely unknown. A planetary pattern can affect us whether or not it touches something significant in our personal charts. It does not matter if we are a human entity, an animal, a corporation, or a country because we are a part of Planet Earth. How this transpires is interesting, awesome, a little scary, and continual. Great article! It is important to remember that we we hear "Sun in Capricorn" what we're really observing is that the Earth, from Sun's point of view, is speeding through that section of our Solar System that we call Cancer. That is, Earth is revisiting the same 1/12th of its orbit that it visits every year from late-mid-December to late-mid-January... yet not EXACTLY the same place in orbit, since (as you note) the Solar System itself continuously moves through space.
The Perseid meteor showers are a case in point. These meteors are said to be dust from comet Swift-Tuttle. Every year, from mid- to late summer, Earth passes through the comet's dust cloud and we see what appear to be shooting stars for a period of 30 to 40 days. Yes, Sun is in Leo (or thereabouts) during this time... but saying "Sun in Leo" is almost code-language for "Earth enters Perseid Comet Trail."
