Mr Wright: I agree with what you write about wheelchair safety. However, another issue you have not mentioned is night time wheelchair safety. Most wheelchair users use little in the way of safety equipment when venturing out at night. This is because most safety equipment is made for bicycles and not for wheelchairs. Wheelchair users what lightweight safety equipment which is easy to use. I have added a link to one recently developed wheelchair light. Perhaps with better safety equipment developed for wheelchair users, the issue of safety will slowly improve.
