One World Currency - The Death of America The idea of one world currency has been growing with popularity with the continued weakening of the American economy. As an American, I believe this to be scary. Linking economies and countries would eliminate the strength, earning potential for the growth of one in favor of the whole. It would also force Americans to give up their sovereignty, and would eliminate America as a world leader. Americans get a sense of pride from being a world leader.
