NewAir ACP-1000E - Best Value-Priced Portable AC
By Jeanie Wong

Portable air conditioners are great cost-effective coolers, but many portable ACs can cost upwards of $400. Cheaper units are available, but they often lack features or sufficient cooling power. Thankfully, NewAir has designed an efficient, yet value-priced portable AC: the ACP-1000E.

Hi Jeanie,

Really great article; you seem to know your stuff :) I was wondering now if maybe you will know the answer to this mystery.

I have this very same unit you wrote a review on .

However. The evaporative technology seems to have failed(?) without any rhyme or reason(that I am aware of)

It started with signaling that the water tank was full. This is the first time it ever happened but I thought nothing of it as have been using it so long figured it just slowly built water... So I emptied it completely and restarted the unit,

An hour later the same thing happened. I thought this was a bit strange but figured maybe I did not drain all the water. So I even tipped it to make sure every last drop came out.

Again same thing--a hour later the tank was filled and needed to be drained. And water gushed out of it too. It was definitely full again.

This has been the situation ever since--

I would like to add.

The humidity is NOT over 80% or even at 80%. (in fact I Have run it when it was raining out and t never needed draining)

I am not using the de-humidifier.

The exhaust hose is not clogged.

It seems to be something has gone wrong with condensation exhausting.?

Please if you have any idea what this is/why and how I can fix would be so appreciated

Thank you for your time.
