Lotro Solo Leveling Guide - The Solution For a Casual Player
By Evan Scott

I am what you would call a "casual player", meaning I don't have a lot of time a day to play Lotro. I managed to join a guild but I couldn't play at prime times, so I got left behind. After browsing the Internet, I came across some people saying I should use guides, so I looked some more and found a Lotro solo leveling guide since I was mostly playing alone.

I bought this guide, and am unhappy with it. This is not a solo guide. There is literally page after page of 'find a fellowship', 'find a strong fellowship', etc. In fairness to the author, it should be noted that he wrote a 'quick leveling guide' and not a 'solo guide.' However, I think most players know that the quick way to level in LOTRO is by constantly playing in a Fellowship. No news there.

Additionally, while the guide does give coordinates of MOBs and objects, there is normally little or no information on how to GET TO the object. Trying to pick your way to the objective, going up the wrong valley, finding your way at night, etc., is extremely frustrating. A few hints for each of the quests would be very helpful.

LOTRO is not a heavily played game, so there are not many commercial guides. Rather than use this one, however, I think the solo player would be better off looking at various free guides on the Internet and compiling his own guide.

Save the money.

Hi Quent,

You said "this is not a solo leveling guide" but I disagree. Basically, this is a solo leveling guide as much as LOTRO can be played solo efficiently. More than 90% are solo quests and the fellowship ones are needed to get access to the next quest chain, in most of the cases. Anyway, even those fellowship quests (less than 10%) can be skipped and doing a little grinding at the nest quest spot will net you the XP you lost. Buying rested XP is very helpful in this case.

Also, I disagree with you again when you say that "the quick way to level in LOTRO is by constantly playing in a Fellowship". WRONG... And I know what I say here... I leveled 7 characters to 60 using this guide!

About having more info about "how to GET TO the object", I have to be agree with you here, more info would be helpful. Still having coordinates and links to mmodb is almost sufficient.

To conclude, I want to say that this is not a perfect guide, but it is THE BEST available on the market. To be sure about this, I suggest to all the potential buyers to download the free sample first and buy the guide only after you are conviced that it worth the money. All you have to do in order to download the free sample, is to click the link from the article above, scroll a bit down the page and use "Click Here to Download a FREE SAMPLE of RPGtutor's LOTRO Leveling Guide" link.

See you all in Middle-Earth!
