I think it is great that Hartford has improved their underwriting for individuals who have had breast cancer or prostate cancer.
The good news is that as underwriters gain a better understanding of cancers from a mortality standpoint, the availability of coverage has increased. There are even some companies willing to consider insureds for "preferred rates" if they have had a history of Stage 1 or Stage 2 prostate cancer.
