Inside the Mind of a Psychic - Intuitive Burnout There was a time several years ago when I was conducting ten to fifteen intuitive readings a day. At first I was delighted to be in such high demand but within a matter of a few weeks I began to experience what I call Intuitive burnout. [VIEW ARTICLE]Comments RSS Feed For This Article: |

Subject: Burnout
Hi Jeffry,
I am currently experiencing what you have described as "psychic burnout". I have been a clairvoyant doing readings for the public since April 2008. I thoroughly enjoy what I do - it is always an honour to give another person a reading, allowing uplifting messages and insight into their lives by way of Spirit. But, since last weekend, after doing a crazy day of readings at a local psychic day, and also a lengthy psychic party at night, I have come down with a virus which I just cannot shake. Usually I get over things very quickly, but this time the virus is lingering, and I have been very sick. I realise now that I really did overwork myself, and now need time to rest up in order to get better.
I have learnt a huge lesson this week. As much as it is important to me to give 110% of myself to each reading, I need to regulate how many readings I do in any particular timeframe. You wouldn't expect a musician to play for 6 hours straight, so a psychic needs a break in their work too.
Thank you for your article. I found it invaluable. Many thanks, Clare James.
