Subject: I am not a skinny Asian! Hey Jacky, I can also relate! Both my parents are also Chinese and they were both born in Burma also. Although, I was born in the States (Florida to be precise), I have the pressure to be thin too. I also have a big family and even when I was 13 weighing 130 at 5'4" (probably average for Americans but not for Asians) I was still repetitively criticized by aunts, uncles and cousins for not being "average". I was "too big" and needed to go on a diet. So I can relate to you so much and thank you for sharing this article with me. :] Comment provided November 30, 2008 at 8:50 pm
