I'm Not a Skinny Asian Girl There is a certainly a stigma that all Asian women are skinny. That is far from the truth. I am living proof of that. Now that I've moved from the US to Malaysia, I feel the pressure to be thin even more. [VIEW ARTICLE]Comments RSS Feed For This Article:

Although, I was born in the States (Florida to be precise), I have the pressure to be thin too. I also have a big family and even when I was 13 weighing 130 at 5'4" (probably average for Americans but not for Asians) I was still repetitively criticized by aunts, uncles and cousins for not being "average".
