Subject: How to Clean Bugs Off a Car I stumbled onto a cleaner that does a fantastic job on bugs, bird doo, grease and road tar. It's PLEDGE furniture cleaner. They advertise other uses but not as a crud cleaner. I don't like petroleum based products because they strip the wax and any other paint protection. Pledge is wax based and it softens and dissolves the crud. Just spray the area, leave for a few seconds and wipe off. For more dried and encrusted spots leave it on a little longer, or apply a second coat or remove the last bit with a finger nail. If it's used on fine furniture, I don't see how it can harm the car finish. Enjoy the shine it leaves! Comment provided May 18, 2009 at 1:44 pm

Subject: WD-40
WD-40 is an effective tool for removing love bugs from your car. I live in Florida and in late spring we usually have an abundance of love bugs. They can make the front of your car look almost black. Spraying WD-40 on your car before you drive is very effective and then the bugs wash off easily. I spray the car then wipe off any excess of WD-40 before driving it again.
