How To Keep Kids Off Drugs

At a recent conference on How To Be A Daddy, Not A Father someone asked me if I had any advice on how to keep children off drugs other than the same old things they've always heard like talk to your children about drugs, teach your kids to say "No", etc.

The jail cell and bad neighborhood idea is all well and good until the kid comes across someone who does drugs and doesn't live in those conditions. Unfortunately in my case, my child's father is a huge pot head and he lives in the suburbs. How do you convince a child that marijuana is bad although it won't kill you and their own father does it?
