Easy Chocolate Cake Recipes I love chocolate and so does the rest of my family. Subject: Chocolate Cake with Rum
Have you ever tried to mix a little rum in while making chocolate cake? I recently went to the Bahamas and brought back various flavored rums such as banana, coconut and mango. Mixing in a bit a flavored rum really did wonders for my chocolate cake and if you make your own icing you can put rum in that too.
Dont worry it's safe for the little ones as well. Regular vanilla extract is 35% by volume (70 proof) while most flavored rums are 30% by volume or 60 proof, making the vanilla stronger. Just don't pour the whole bottle in the batter!
