Subject: Why Doctors Frequently Miss Celiac Disease and Gluten Sensitivity
Hey Doc,
I had to read a lot of your articles to find anything like a definitiion of Celiac disease. I'm glad I did. I was recently hypothesizing mental illness often accompanies physical illness, based on my personal observation of aquaintances with serious and life threatening illness. They seem unwilling to do anything to help their selves. Your mention of neuropsychiatric disorders in conjunction with what appears to be intestinal toxemia, supports my observation and the mind - body connection.
I also suspect the incidence of Celiac or related illness is much higher than the one in 133 figure, possibly much closer to the Atkinson numbers. Sounds like you might share my suspicions. Thanks for the mini education. I look forward to your forthcoming website .
