Subject: Satellite Internet speeds
I thought I would a comment regarding satellite Internet. It appears that most satellite providers appear to be out dated on technology and pricing. In most of the advertisement they claim to provide blazing high speed internet with an extremely high price tag. They also claim that to be faster than dial up of 56Kbs. 56Kbs is a thing of the past. My current Internet provider is rate as a dial up with a speed of 512Kbs. AT&T dial up is 280X faster with speeds up 1.5Mbs, Embarq's dial up is 700Kbs with a price tag of roughly #20.00 per month. 56Kbs went out years ago. The new modems are a 10/100 Ethernet connection. Some of the satellite providers may want to re-think there pricing and advertisement.
