I always find the controversy surrounding Kevin Trudeau and his books fascinating. Everybody either seems to love him or hate him. I just purchased a copy of the new book Debt Cures myself and plan to make up my mind for myself. I'll be posting my reviews at http://www.kevinscures.com

Subject: Government grants?

I love to read your reviews, it's nice to have a third party opinion as to how well this all works. In his interviews he mentions government grants that offer money to people who want to get out of debt. The question is, does it work, how well, and does it work on debts that are not credit card related. I am about 2,000 in debt. I have never had a credit card before and most of my bills are hospital bills and I have a tow bill from when I sold my car and the guy abandoned it. Would those grants pay for those?

I just saw the infomercial for Kevin's new book and decided to see what the reviews were like. I teach financial literacy all over the US to average citizens, so I wanted to get a feel of what he is preaching this time. I may just buy the book to see if the information is valid. After all, if it's stuff that I already teach, I will just opt for the 30 day money back guarantee. There's basically nothing new under the sun, but my curiosity will get the best of me if I don't take a peek.

I don't know about ordering this book but over a year and a half ago I ordered the book "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About" from Kevin Trudeau and I still haven't gotten the book. I have called several times. At first they told me it was on back order and would be sent shortly but it never was. Then it got to where there was no one to call to check on the status. The only one I could talk to was an order department and they gave me a customer service number but all I ever got was a recording and they would not call me back. I have tried to email and they never responded. I have to wonder if this is how he gets out of debt.

I also work in financial services, meaning my kids dont listen to a word I say. I bought two of the books, what a joke. Nothing you cant find elsewhere. Looking into the grants he talked about? Good Luck they are not easy to find and the average person will not qualify. Now more importantly lets not forget to mention, watch your credit card statements. Even if you opt out of the monthly newsletter which I did you will get the letter and the charge. When you call them they explain that they include one in the box and you have to call or write to cancel what you told them you didnt want in the first place. I did not do this as it was just like any other filler crap you get in mail order packages so I didnt read it. Yep that makes it my own fault. Save your money this book will tell you nothing you can't find in a google search or listening to an hour or two of Dave Ramsey on Radio or TV. The book and the letter are scams. Nothing you cant find online in half the time it takes a good reader to read the book.

Kevin Trudeau's book on natural cures is very good. There are plenty of good tips on heart health and natural chelation. I got the book in late '07 and am now down 65 lbs. and feel very good.

lot's of good health and weight loss tips. I've always lost weight, but have never been able to keep it off. Every time, I gained it back plus some. After purchasing the Natural Cures book, I've lost 40lbs and have kept it off for almost a year.

I love Kevin Trudeau and I purchased the book for $19.99 plus tax at Borders bookstore. It is a great book. I settled an account with Chase for 45 cents on the dollar after reading two chapters.
