This article is very relevant and informational. I personally have cell phones for my 2 kids. They've had them since they were 8 and I've never felt more comfortable when they leave the house. Now I can be sure where my kids are when. Also, I know they will only be speaking to people they know since they are on a pre-paid wireless plan provided by TracFone which allows me to limit the amount of minutes they can have to avoid them talking/texting aimlessly driving my cell phone bill through the roof. I couldn't be happier with our family's communication especially during the summer when the kids are constantly leaving and away from home.
