Subject: Freezer gasket problem
First off, great article Eric. Thanks.
I recently purchased an older upright freezer. The freezing part is in great shape, but the upper left corner door seal wasn't mating. Not sure if it was the door being slightly off-level or the gasket itself (not in a rush to spend $100 on the gasket), I thought I could take off the entire existing gasket and flip it over, to see if the problem surfaced on the opposite corner (indicating a gasket problem) or the same corner (indicating a door problem). Well, I missed your advice to not remove the gasket-holding screws completely, and when I reinstalled the gasket, it looks pretty bad ALL AROUND the door now.
Please advise!!
Thanks, Mark
