Cebu City, Philippines - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

A tourist visiting Cebu City for the first time may well be turned off by some of the city sites. The city has several world class resorts, hotels, beaches and dive sites. It also has some areas of the world's most devastating poverty. Cebu City is the capital city of the Cebu Province and it is the second largest city in the Philippines following Manila. I always feel at home in the city and lived in the city before building my home in the rural Cebu Province of Camotes Islands.

I really enjoyed reading your article. My husband and I with our 3 kids are going to visit Cebu in Augustfor the first time. I have a lot of resevations about going, but after reading your article, it really helped me to feel that everything will be ok and it will be fun! I have really enjoyed the article.......last year I visited cebu twice for diving in moalboal.....I really loved the city......I have never seen so many people smiling ...given how they live they are so resilient.....I meet a wonderful lady jonalyn......it was hard to leave and return to commitments in nz......it has been to long tryin to get back....I thought I was the only one who thought as you......so glad to realise I am not...the peace of mind I find in cebu is great thanks for article
