Great Article!

The only thing I would comment on is the fact that most of us buy a car every 4-5 years.

Traditional dealerships negotiate and sell cars everyday.

The "typical" customer NEVER wins this negotiation. They are not skilled enough to do so.

Time is money. I know I can be in and out of CarMax with a car in 1 hour. Not the typical smoke and mirrors, let me go check with my Sales Manager nonsense you get at a Traditional Dealership where you can spend 4 hours TRYING to buy a car.

3 hours of my time is expensive...especially when I am being lied to, which is generally what you experience at the "regular" car lot.

I will pay more to save time....time is our most valuable asset. Money can always be made, time is always spent.

Thanks for the comment Tim. I am actually a big fan of the CarMax business model and I do feel that they offer a great service.

I didn't mean to harm CarMax with this article and certainly feel that many customers, as you do, benefit greatly by buying from them.
