I'm one of the old gray hairs Rick spent the weekend with! What best describes the weekend is that every story started out with "we had been drinking". They all ended on a happy, if hung over, note. We were young, stupid, old, smart, happy, sad, drunk and sober all at once and life spread out ahead of us like the Great Plains once did for the settlers. We set out to change the world and in the end we did, by changing ourselves. Our children now have children and I am reminded of these words from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young: You who are on the road Must have a code that you can live by And so become yourself Because the past is just a good bye.

Teach your children well, Their father's h*** did slowly go by, And feed them on your dreams The one they picked, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry, So just look at them and sigh and know they love you. Yes, Rick you can come home any time. You will always be welcome in your old Kentucky Home.
