Dear Sherry,

I liked your article about Benefit Auction Item Idea - New York Fashion Week Tickets The idea of giving way tickets to fashion shows in New York is great and always work. People have use tickets to our shows in this format for various reasons very successfully: 1) To raise money for charities 2) As incentive to top sales personnel 3) As gift to best clients 4) To increase awareness of their brand -T-mobile via one of its marketing companies did a nationwide sweepstakes with pair of tickets to Couture Fashion Week New York (a special fee was required to use the Couture Fashion Week logo and name in advertisement), A radio station in Canada did also a similar promotion with great results.

We will be glad to discuss all the possibilities Andres Aquino, Producer

Subject: Giving New York Fashion Week tix to a charity

Hello Andres, Thanks for the comment! I'm confused by your email. Are you selling tickets or giving them away? It would appear that you are selling tickets to Fashion Week shows, whereas I am teaching my clients how to get those tickets for free. Fashion Week tickets aren't right for every auction, but for some of my clients, they sell very well. If you are selling tickets, there may be some groups willing to pay a fee for them ... but my immediate thought is that if a group is going to invest in buying tickets to a fashion spectacle, I would suggest they buy tickets to the EMMYs for $200. Then buyers can walk a red carpet and see hundreds of celebrities in full fashion mania. If you are donating tickets, I encourage you to call a charity you believe is doing good work in your community. Offer them as a donation to that organization. You'll make the group very happy! The final sale price at the benefit auction will depend on the audience attending the benefit. It could be a few hundred dollars or several thousand. Good luck!
