Article Marketing 101: The Perfect Author Resource Box If you want to really make your article "SELL" then you've got to craft the perfect RESOURCE BOX. This is "author bio" that is below your article body and it's also known as your "SIG" (short for SIGnature). Here are the essential & optional items that should be in your resource box along with my list of what to NOT include in your resource box: [VIEW ARTICLE]Comments RSS Feed For This Article: 2

Subject: Article Marketing 101: The Perfect Autho Resource Box Hey Chris. Good advice as usual. The link from today's blog was a masterstroke as well. Every time you speak, you remind me of someting I have intended for weeks and months and just put off because I was too busy writing and submitting article on multiple directories, one at a time, to compare results and search results. It's a very steep learning curvefor an internet newbie with more time than most folks have available. I wanted to hurry up and get back to writing. I wanted to write Cultural Creative Models V a as a second part about what I've been learning about Ezine Articles. But I got into the blog and the forums and I was off on yet another new growth adventure. One forum reminded be that if I did not want to rate articles, I could at least post comments. Then I discovered I could post the comment to explain a rating but I would only rate and comment on 4 and 5 star articles. Then I found good reason to comment on the 3 star articles without giving the three star rating. I do them like letters because I want them to know who is reading them and commenting. I like to occassionally scan the homepage like a newspaper and read the articles whose titles catch my mind. Decided to spand a day, read a dozen and comment on the ones I liked. Yesterday it struck me that some of these are by newbies and that was an opportunity to extend a personal welcome to make them glad they came here. :-) It struck me a month ago I should be reading the hundreds of articles you must have written. I made a note. I must make time for this. It waited until today. I looked at your numbers and read between the lines. In nearly 2.5 years you should have more views than Lance. Should we blow off an opportunity to learn from a master? I think not. Now, of course, I have to write an article about why we should all stop and smell the roses at Ezine Articles on a frequent and regular basis. That authors should be taking the opportunity to speak to each other. That this company should be a family. That every one of us could and should be just as pumped as I am. Then I look at your extended bio and find it is the same as your resource box and I don't think either is a very good example. As of tomorrow my bio and my resource box will both be better than yours. This is just not right.:-) But it serves as a lesson that even the master misses opportunities and I don't feel so bad about putting off the greatest blessings of membership for a few months. I decided not to do the Cultural Creatives Model article, but to start an open ended series on Ezine Articles Dot Com and post it on every other dirctory I post on. There's a thousand ways to skin this cat. Most of the other directories I submit on and those who take my stuff from those directories don't know half of what I have learned from Ezine Articles. That is, all the competition ought to be coming here for Directory School. I'm going to say so in the next article. Here is the best way to improve the entire industry. Show the rest where the model is. Give me two years and I could be your number one competitor, except I have no interest in doing that, however much you would like me to. :-) So we shall soon be reading your extended bio where you tell the world what you intend to accomplish and I can't wait. I'll be checking your bio every day. Smoe one is watching you! Comment provided April 26, 2006 at 2:22 pm

Subject: Boy My Partner Was Wrong About Article Marketing What great insight. I had a conversation yesterday with a business partner who thought this particular article directly would frown upon an Author Resource boxes which asked for something from the reader such as a free report in return for giving information as your article so eloquently points out. It's great to hear this from the man himself. Thanks for a wonderfully efficient article directory. Comment provided February 16, 2007 at 3:46 pm
