Subject: Personal Debt - Out of Control
Jim, it was bound to happen. Personal debt in the US has gotten out of hand and now, the average consumer is trying to whittle it away during a period of economic slowdown that is unprecedented. Bailouts, of any kind, if funded by US Taxpayers is unethical to say the least. If a program is intended to help people pay back personal debt, it is worthwhile but bailouts to prop up bad behavior, is essentially enabling the behavior.
