There is much discussion about 21 st December and the Mayan Calendar. The earth changes and global warming also speak to us. Many listen not. They succumb to their inevitable cataclysmic fate.

Global earth changes are all around us. Climate change is warming up the planet. Poor planet earth, mother Gaia, is suffering from the impact of pollution and human carelessness. The rate of seismic activity and greenhouse gases is increasing compared with the last 12 months. Yes changes are on the way but its there a big price we have to pay?

The Mayan calendar talks about time ending as we know on 21 st December 2012. It talks about climatic change on the planet as well as a shift in human consciousness. Both are happening right now but these are going to escalate. More and more events are going to occur in a shorter and shorter time frame. Time is speeding up now.

Indigenous cultures like the Hopi Indians and the ancient Egyptians foretold, with their own version of 2012 prophesies, of these challenging times we live in. The ancient cultures used seers to gather information for them. We have our modern scientists warn us yet we refuse to listen to the warnings and cast them aside as jokes.

Climate change is melting the ice caps. If the current melting accelerates it will cause a rise in sea level causing many people to move their homes. Global warming heats up the ocean floor releasing methane gas and this further contributes to warming and ice melts. Weather patterns are erratic and seismic activity is on the upward spiral.

The tipping point , a term used by scientists, is the point of no return for the planet. It means the planet has so much damage it cannot repair itself. Not the best scenario to leave our children and great grandchildren.
