Interview constitutes are an indispensable part of recruiting any applicant for a particular post. If we look into the professional arena, interviews are taken to judge the personality, communication skills, subject knowledge of the applicant whether he/she is capable enough for the post. It provides a face to face communication with the jury panel in order to analyze the applicant keenly. Preparing for an interview is not a single day job. The most essential requisite that is looked upon is the applicant's originality and it cannot be gained in a day. The ideas, views, hobbies should not be fake to impress the jury. It can put you in trouble as the jury can wrap you in your own trap. Two skills are essentially required in an interview:
1.Soft Skills:
Soft skills are personal attributes that enhances an individual's interaction with the society. These skills actually reflect the original personality of an individual. Dressing sense, common sense, IQ, communication skills, etiquette, dealing with people etcetera, are few of the soft skills. A well dressed applicant with good manners is successful in creating a good impression on the jury members. Common sense and IQ makes you perceive and respond to the question quickly and in a good manner. Communication skills play a vital role as they provide an ease to put forth your views in a good way. A good command over English is very important in an interview these days. Soft skills form an important part of any interview whether it be professional or any other.
2.Technical Skills:
These skills include the ability of an individual to understand the basic technical concepts of his or her related field. Practical work done during the learning stage makes the concepts more clear and makes one efficient enough to answer the technical questions. Technical skills require the complete knowledge of the basics of a particular field, knowledge about the company, field work capability etcetera. Technical skills are acquired by the professional and practical experiences. Technical skills mostly require attention in the professional interviews.
