Do you research products before you buy or do you buy the first thing you see? If you're anything like us, you want to shop around so you know you're getting the best possible product for your money. You want more bang for your buck, right?
The internet is a wealth of information for almost any product you're willing to buy. One of the best inventions to ever come out on the web is the search engine and luckily we have many to choose from. Search engines make it easy to find what you're looking for quickly.
The only negative is that you have so many to choose from. This may be a negative for someone unsure of which product to buy but it's a big POSITIVE for someone looking for sources of good marketing content!
Research and research some more...
Looking at products and services similar to what you're offering is a great way to develop your own marketing content. This is not to say that you should rush out and plagiarize someone's site just to get some good content but it's a great place to start.
Check out these sites and you'll find some really great ideas you can use in your articles or on your actual site. You may find ideas that millions of others are using but you just may not have thought of using. Or, you may have had the same ideas but weren't sure how to go about it. By seeing how some of these ideas look on other sites, you can implement them into your sites but in your own words and thoughts.
Using a variety of content...
Blog sites are a great place to get ideas that you can use on your own site. If you see a video that has really caught your eye, you don't have to immediately make a video just like the one you've seen. What you can do however, is get some ideas off the video that best apply to your product and you can implement these ideas into a DVD, CD, E-book or even in an informative article. Articles still stand out as extremely effective methods of content marketing. They not only tell the reader almost everything they need to know about your product but they offer links to your site and other offers you may have.
If you're looking for cheap methods of content, consider a trip to your local discount or thrift shop. If you look around, you'll find many books and pamphlets describing products just like what you're selling. By reading them and rewriting them in your words, you'll have some excellent content for your marketing. You can use this content to help you write some great informative articles, put together an interesting video, or give you ideas for your blog.
Finding the content, as you're learning here, is not the hard part. The most difficult part will be to decide what context to use for your marketing content, with so many great strategies available!
