If you're here that means you're looking for help in managing your anger. Maybe you can feel things spiraling out of control or maybe you just want to get help before it gets that far. Either way, I hope I can offer some advice in this article to help you on your way.

Sometimes things just get out of hand. Sometimes you're just having a bad day. Sometimes you think you're having a good day and all it takes is one thing to turn it around. But if you're losing it a little too often or for what seem later like just the wrong reasons then you need to get some help.

  1. Take a deep breath. And then another one. And then another one. Observe your emotions without judging yourself on them

  3. Focus on finding ways to solve the problem at hand, not trying to change the person.
  4. When the situation is over look back on it and think about how you approached it and what you could do better next time
  5. Keep track of what triggers these attacks. Not just the immediate cause but maybe some of the peripheral causes. Sometimes losing control is as much about what you didn't have. Enough sleep. A recent meal or snack. If you're low in energy and getting by on willpower alone you'll have no willpower left when you come up against some resistance - sometimes even just a little bit...
