We hear so much about eliminating toxins from our bodies right now. Well the lemonade diet is just the thing to do that. This diet is only meant to be a short term cleansing diet. Most people stay on it for about 10 days. If you have never heard about this before we will list how to do it here.

First if you are going to go on the lemonade diet you need to understand that it is a fasting diet which means no solid food. Check with your physician before doing it. Make sure what medicine you need to stay on and which medicine you can leave off safely during the fast.

You need to be aware that fasting is not for everyone. Some people have a difficult time going without solid food for several days. This being said here is how to do the lemonade diet.

Your daily nutritional needs will be a daily regimen of lemonade that is made from non-fluoridated water and 60 ounces of it. Mix in 12 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice from organically grown lemons, a total of ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper or to taste, and 12 Tablespoons of Maple Syrup organic of course and Grade B.

First thing in the morning though you start off with a saltwater mixture to flush out your system. Then spread the ingredients over 6 10 ounce glasses of lemonade, which you drink throughout the day. Some people even say to increase the amounts to do 11 to 12 glasses a day to get the calories up to 1200 calories for the day. Also drink water in between the lemonade to make sure you do not get dehydrated.

Many people have reported favorable results from using the lemonade diet to cleanse their bodies. They have seen improvements in their blood sugar levels and even seen their depression improve. They have also seen a marked improvement in their blood pressure. It flushes out toxins that build up in the body, which helps purify the body. It is a most effective way to thoroughly clean out the digestive track and flush the kidneys out. It is even good for the blood stream.

After you have stayed on this for 10 days (or how many days you last on it). Go off of it. But to go off of it you need to do just citrus juices the first day and then you can introduce maybe some vegetable soup the next day. After that you can go back to eating regularly.

Stanley Burroughs created this diet in 1940. He wrote "The Master Cleanse" about the diet and it is still being read today. Even back then people realized the importance of detoxing their bodies.

It is recommended that you wait about 3 months between the 10-day sessions of this diet. That will allow you to do this about 4 times a year.
