iMac is a range of desktop computers, provided by Apple Inc. With great looks and easy to use features, iMac has been designed for all office and home users. Though sometimes, it is observed that iMac G5 stops responding at startup. The issue may be due to the operating system, computer system files or application software. The logical crash though pretty rare in iMacs, may demand Mac Data Recovery. The other problems may be problematic external devices and hard drive issues.

- In order to see if it is not an external device problem, we need to first disconnect all of them including FireWire, Ethernet, mouse, keyboard and USB devices. Then, we need to reconnect these devices one at a time and restart the computer system. If system stops responding only after connecting a specific device, then we need to replace the device. The issue can also be of a cable related to that device. So we need to check for any cable problems also and replace the cable if necessary.

- Another issue could be corrupt software. So we need to start the system using Software Install and Restore disc. If system starts normally, then the issue is damaged software and we need to reinstall the operating system to get the fresh copy of software using Archive and Install method.

- If the issue still persists or hard disk is not visible while installing Mac OS X, the hard disk may have gone corrupt. We can use Disk Utility or reformat the hard disk and recover the lost data using backup or Mac Recovery software. We can also use third-party Drive Utility to reformat the hard disk, if it is not visible even in Disk Utility.

- However, if the hard drive is still undetectable, we need to replace it as the issue can be physical. But, before that we need to extract data by availing Mac Data Recovery service.

Mac Recovery software are scanning utilities for corrupted or formatted hard disks which extract lost data, maintaining data integrity. However, under Mac Data Recovery service, the physically failed hard drive is repaired and lost data is extracted using advanced tools and techniques.
