Building belief in your network marketing opportunity is one of the most important factors in determining the success or failure of a network marketing distributor. Many people get started in network marketing and a specific network marketing opportunity because of the income potential.

However, if you don't start to realize that potential right away, it takes a strong level of belief in your opportunity to keep you around long enough until the income that you joined the opportunity for becomes a reality. This is the number on reason why distributors quit an opportunity.

Belief is the foundation of all activity. The only time a distributor will take action is if that distributor believes that the result of that action will be worth the pain and sacrifice that comes with taking the action. Building a network marketing business takes time, energy and money.

A distributor is not going to invest the time, energy and money required to build a network marketing business unless he or she feels the investment will be worth it. This is why it is so important that you build belief in your opportunity and that you teach your team how to build belief in your opportunity.

Steps to Build Belief in Your Network Marketing Opportunity

One way to build belief is to try the products and services and get customers to try them as well. By developing usage of the products and/or services that your company offers, this produces success stories, which produces belief.

For example, if you offer a service that saves me money and I try out the service and get that result, I am going to be happy. When I tell you about it, you are going to be happy as well. However, more important, your belief level in the opportunity increases. It increases because now you have a success story to refer to and that is mine.

An even more powerful belief building story is when you have your own experience with the product. For instance, if you market a weight loss product and you need to lose weight yourself...using the product can build a strong level of belief. If the product allows you to lose weight personally, this will increase your belief level significantly.

Ask Your Network Marketing Upline

Another way to build belief in your opportunity is to address any concerns or doubt that you might have with a successful member in your network marketing upline. Here, I stress the term "successful member." Not everybody in your upline might be successful. You might have been recruited by your friend who is brand new. Find the leader making it happen.

When you find a successful member in your upline, ask him or her the tough questions. If you are wondering how your product is different from a competing product, ask your upline. If there are negative comments about your company, ask your upline.

Building Belief Through Network Marketing Company Events

One of the best ways to build belief in the network marketing opportunity is to attend your company events. Depending on the size of your network marketing company there will be several different events available. Most companies have a national or international event that you can attend once or twice a year. Some companies have monthly events, even weekly events in your area or in driving distance.

How do events build belief?

When you are building your business primarily online, the opportunity is just theory. However, when you actually get to meet the people who are having success, the opportunity becomes more real to you. At the events you get to meet people who are in similar circumstances as you and are having success. You also get to meet people who might not even be as good as you, yet are having success.

Building belief is one of the most important things you can to build your business. So invest the time and resources necessary to build belief in your company. The investment will be worth it over the long haul.
