Your income is not limited by the income of your upline, in particular your direct sponsor. Some of the most successful network marketing distributors didn't have a successful upline.

Your income has nothing to do with your upline's level of success because of the way the compensation plan is structured. You can earn income regardless of what your upline does or doesn't do. You can earn more money than distributors in your upline. You can have distributors in your downline who earn more money than you. If you have an upline and/or sponsor who isn't making a lot of money, that doesn't mean that you can't make a lot of money.

The key is to plug into a successful leader in your upline or network marketing company. This way you will learn what is required in order to build your network marketing company and earn a significant income.

In this case, you might be better off unplugging from your upline's system completely. You can either start your own system if you are ready to, or you can make use of another leader's system that more closely aligns with the way that you want to build your business.

Don't use your upline or lack thereof as an excuse for why you cannot find network marketing success. There are many network marketing distributors who either didn't have uplines or who had uplines that were very harmful to their businesses.

Despite these challenges they were still able to succeed in building a network marketing business. As the old adage goes, "if they can do it, you can do it as well."
