Bronze Expert Brighthub.com, the science & Technology Portal.Taught at SCMLD and Suryadatta Institute of Management & Technology, Pune • Worked with DG2L, Zintec & Parsec in MPEG4 & 2 technologies based digital media solutions and communication server based call center technology. Has been responsible for setting up engineering and quality processes for product engineering in embedded technology space. MPEG- 4 based Set top box, digital cinema and encoder/decoder products were involved. • Managed a software product testing services facility (Neilsoft) for CAD products for Autodesk. Responsibilities expanded later to include software product development in Web based, CAD space and CAD customization projects. Was responsible for implementing ISO 9000-2000 quality systems. • Was responsible for setting up an engineering services facility for a software major (Patni). Services included Engineering software, Multimedia services, Cad & GIS services and document processing services. • Was responsible for building a large-scale GIS services facility (Rolta), possibly for the first time in the country. Managed software services for the same organization too. Had set up and managed a plant engineering services facility for the same organization during a second stint. Had been involved with quality system implementation. • Was responsible for setting up a hardware development facility for a computer major (HCL) and delivering a large suite of products for both a super-mini product range as also a PC compatible range. • Have worked with and managed a range of defence related technologies including setting up of a digital lab, a central processing facility and an image processing facility (DRDO). Products developed include micro based communication equipment and pilot-less aircraft system electronics. • Traveled extensively over US for business development in GIS and software services. Initially it included concept selling. Worked with American & European marketing set-ups. • Interacted extensively with American, European as well as customers from Japan and China. Managed delivery organizations of up to 200 persons. • Have attended a range of technical and managerial training courses. • Have conducted a range of technical and managerial courses. • Have delivered invited lectures at IIT, Roorkee, worked as visiting professor for technology courses, delivered invited lectures in MBA institutes
