Hello, My Name is Chip Lemin from Olmsted Falls, Ohio.I have been involved in Youth Baseball for over 30 yrs as player, manager, coach, and now parent coach. My biggest concern is that young players are not being taught to honor and respect the game of baseball.Although still in the small minority, some teams and their parents do not practice good sportsmanship. You can have a highly competitive team, and practice good sportsmanship. It must be start however with the manager, and coaching staff. It must also begin with the season, and be revisited during the season.Good sportsmanship must be recognized and rewarded by the staff also. Our Game is too valuable to let be damaged by a few others. My Sons are 8 and 12 yrs old. They play travel baseball here in Northeast Ohio. My Wife Denise also enjoys watching the boys compete. I'm currently assistant coach on each of the boys teams. We do also travel to tournaments out of town as well as a league schedule. My personal mission is to promote good sportsmanship and positive attitude training to players as well as coaches, managers and parents.
