[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Your dice gripping procedure should begin as soon as the stickman begins to push the dice toward you. In order to produce the desired results, you need to hold the dice in a certain manner so they leave your hands properly and stay together.
- The Secrets of Controlled Betting
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] If you are playing at a craps table and the new shooter is a dice controller, you might want to bet a little differently than you normally would. Many dice controllers hold the dice for ten or twenty rolls compared to the normal 5 to 9 rolls for an average shooter.
- The Secret of the Gamblers Fallacy
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] If there is no way to deduce the outcome of a random roll of the dice, then why play craps at all? - The Secrets of the Field
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Craps professionals know that their winning depends on streaks. When a positive streak occurs, they bet more. When a negative one appears, they bet less. When you play the field, you can determine whether to increase or decrease your bets, and then use a rotating field progression.
- The Secrets of Basic Craps Tournaments
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] If you are a regular crapshooter, you might want to enter a craps tournament some day. Some of these contests are free to enter, some cost a few hundred dollars, and a few cost quite a bit more, depending on the prize money.
- The Secrets of Laying the Fives and Nines
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] You won’t see a lot of bettors laying the five or nine, as most of the lay bets go behind the fours and tens. Plus, the 5% vig (on winnings) charged on lay bets seems to reserve lay bets only for the 4's and 10's. Wanna know the secrets that craps pros use to make money laying the fives and nines?
- The Secrets of Laying the Four and Ten
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] If you are a don’t bettor, you are familiar with using lay bets to choose a number to bet against without going through the don’t come box. However, you have to pay a 5% vig on the amount of your winnings.
- The Secret of the Fours and Tens
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] The four and ten pay a handsome 9:5 reward, so if you bet $5 on both numbers, you will win $9 if either one hits. Of course, if you bought the same numbers you would win a little more, but you will need to make at least a $25 bet on both ($50 total) to make this profitable.
Wanna know the secrets that craps pros use to profit from $5 bets on the fours and tens?
- The Secret of Making Odds Only Bets
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] As you probably know, the best bet on the craps table is, of course, the unadvertised free odds bet. This is the only bet that provides the house with absolutely no commission or vig, but you usually have to make a pass/don’t pass or come/don’t come bet to take advantage of it.
- The Secret of Making Money Before the Come Out
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Wouldn’t it be nice to find a relatively safe way to bet so you can make more money on a consistent basis? When craps pros make their pass line bets, they usually make another bet that almost insures them a profit. However this bet is made just before the come out. But how do they make a profit even before the point is established?
- The Secret of Multiple Odds Tables
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Many casinos now offer up to 100X odds to their craps players. Did you know that you can place odds for any amount under 100X as well? For example, you can take 17X odds, or 3X odds if you want to. This can be very profitable if you are betting pass-line as well as come bets.
- The Secret of Betting Don't
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Besides being an unpopular bet, the Don’t Pass is a dangerous bet to make. Before the point is established the casino clearly holds the advantage. You will win your bet if a 2 or 3 rolls, but lose your bet if a 7 or 11 rolls - just the opposite from the pass line.
- The Secret of Protecting Your Pass Line Bet
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Many dealers will encourage you to make additional hedge bets on craps numbers (2, 3 and 12) to protect your pass line bet. You’ll always hear “any craps” bets called whenever a new shooter is coming out.
- The Secret of Put Bets
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] When you are playing at a casino offering 10X odds and you make a pass line bet, would you rather have a 4 point or a 6 point to add your odds to? If you’d like to be able to choose your point numbers on a 10X or higher casino, then put bets are for you.
- The Secret of Come Betting
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] You probably know that the key to profits is the ability to add “free odds” to your flat bet - and give the casino a zero advantage on those added odds.
Wanna know the secrets the craps pros use to increase their odds on come bets?
- The Secret of Pushing the Pass Line
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Professional gamblers can get better odds than casual gamblers when they play craps. They just know how to ask properly, and they get to “push the house.”
Wanna know the secrets that craps pros use to push the house on pass line bets?
- The Secret of Grinding Out a Profit
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] The term "grinding" means making a small amount of money on a consistent basis. Many dealers look at grinders with derision because they make bets and then take them down after each one hits, which means constant work for the poor dealers.
- The Secret of Field/Place Betting
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] If you place a field bet by itself, you'll win 16 times and lose 20 times (in 36 theoretical rolls). And, the field only pays off 1:1 - that is, if you bet $5, you win $5. For example, if you bet $5 on the field and the 4 rolls, you'll win just $5 (at 1:1) instead of the $9 (at 9:5) you would win if you placed the 4.
- The Secrets of Cold Tables
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] It's not hard to find a cold table. Just look for quiet tables with lots of empty spaces and somber looking people with just a few chips in front of them. You can also look for a lot of don't bets. It's hard to make money on the don't side, but it can be done.
Wanna know the secret that craps pros use to make money on cold tables?
- The Secrets of Martingale Systems
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Most people do not care for most Martingale systems. They are simple systems, and ask you to double your bet every time you lose. This way, the theory goes, you will eventually recoup your loses when you win. If, for example, you are playing on the pass line with a $10 bet and big red rears his ugly head, your next pass line bet would be for $20. If you lose again, the next one would be for $40, then $80, then $160, then $320. If the table has a $500 limit (done to discourage Martingales), you have to stop and take a $320 loss.
- The Secrets of Converting Come Bets
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Most of us were taught to play the pass line with odds, and have two come bets up. Come bets are liked by most players because they represent the hot numbers. By betting the come, many people believe that they can take advantage of a hot streak or a "monster roll." In addition, come bettors often take double (or more) odds, both on the pass and come lines, to maximize their wins.
- How YOU can Regress the Six and Eight!
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] A regression system is one that usually can provide you with a profit after just one win at the tables. They always start out with your highest bets first and, when the seven eventually hits, you are left with minimum (or no) bets left on the table.
Wanna know the secret that craps pros use to maximize their regression bets?
- The Secrets of the Inside Numbers
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] The inside numbers are 5, 6, 8 and 9, which are the most popular numbers on the layout. Betting on this combination gives you 24 chances to win and only 6 chances to lose (on the seven), giving you a big four to one advantage!
- The Secrets of the Outside Numbers
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] When you bet outside you can give the dealer $40 and he places $10 bets on the four, five, nine and ten. The five/nine pay $14 (at 7:5) and the four/ten pay $18 (at 9:5). The combination of the four numbers will roll 14 times (in 36) compared to six times for the seven, giving you more than a 2:1 advantage.
- The Secrets of the Big Numbers
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] As you might know, the Big Six and Eight are even money bets. This means that if you bet $12 and win, you win $12. If you placed $12 on the regular six or eight you would win $14, at 7:6 odds. The casino gives a lot of space to the big six and eight, so beginners who are afraid to give the dealer a place bet can bet directly on the Big Numbers in the corner. In most cases these bets should be avoided.
- The Secrets of the Fives and Nines
[Arts-and-Entertainment:Casino-Gambling] Most Crapshooters do not buy the five or nine as the 5% vig makes it unprofitable to do so. For example on a $30 bet you would have to pay 5% of $30, or $2 (rounded up from $1.50) just to make this buy bet. If you place the 5/9 for $30 you will win $42 at 7:5 odds. If you buy the 5/9 for $30 you will win $45, but you’ll have to pay $2 vig. So you win $42 on the place bet and $43 ($45 - $2) on the buy bet. You do get $1 more with the buy bet, but there is a way to make even more!
