Everything must change. It is inevitable, but you might think otherwise if you watch how hard some people work to stay the same and try to control things so that they just don't move, thinking then that they are safe. Safe from the unknown, safe from all the scary things out there that are known that they think they can avoid if they just stay in their lane, hide behind the curtain and not invite anything in that will rock their world. All that couldn't be further from the truth because the truth is that the Creator and the Universal energies will not allow us to stay stagnant because it is a primary dictate and job for our Creator to nudge, coax and if we are slow learners, force us into change, and thus growth.

Over the past month, I've been involved with the illness and subsequent passing of a person very close to me. It has caused me to have to really think about how I interact with people on this side who are dealing with death because my perspective is very different because of my personal experiences with continued spirits. For me, people either wear a red suit (or body) this time, and will likely wear a blue one (body) the next time, but that has nothing to do with their essence; their spirit.

Sometimes communication is not based upon just the material things in life, but also, and actually I think more often, upon the spiritual basis for our thinking. If we assume that everyone is supposed to think and process information in the exact same way, spiritually, we are headed for communication problems, and thus operational problems. We will also stunt our own growth. There are however, some simple things to consider when looking at trying to understand and be understood by another human being - actually another spirit being in a human form. Paying attention to these things will improve what comes into our ears and goes out of our mouths! Most of us could use a good dose of that more often than not. I know this from firsthand experience, I must say.

On this road to spiritual well being, there are many obstacles and roadblocks. We have to navigate incredible distractions and still, we must see our way to the pot of goal at the end of the expressway, so to speak, in order to keep moving forward. Along with all of the man made, human engineered obstacles, the natural obstacles like weather, disasters and our physical shortcomings, we must also deal with those born of other people's dysfunctions. According to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, 1977, a mantra is a mystical formula of invocation or incantation. A Sanskrit sacred counsel or formula. Daily we operate from a mantra that was either put upon us, or that we have developed for ourselves over our lifetime. Often, when that mantra does not work to our highest good, it can be very difficult to rewrite that formula. But if we are to move forward spiritually, we must. A basic element of Christianity as practiced too often, is to convince people that there is only one shot at life and then you are gone - either to heaven or hell -- so take out your insurance policy by believing this particular way, because if you are wrong, the consequences are dire. That works for other forms of spiritual control as well. Fear of the consequences, and offering a solution to the horrors that have the potential to come with the dark side are primary factors for such control.

As a mystic/psychic, I join a lot of online discussion groups and forums because I am confronted with so many clients with truly difficult issues in their lives, so I try and listen to varied and broad points of view, to better serve them, in coordination with the Divine guidance I receive. Being a part of varied groups allows me to check the posts each morning and know if some new thread presents an issue I've never heard of or a new perspective on something I have dealt with before. Most of my readings are by e-mail and I never see the person, so I'm comfortable with reading people's communications.

If I had to put a numerical value upon the reasons that some people are successful with the readings I offer and eventual spiritual growth and change, and others are not, it would have to equate to the level of open-mindedness that they have, exhibit and act upon. It is not will or strength that makes for changes initially, but instead those factors drive the direction that an open mind determines. It is not love or wonder either, unless they are new by-products of the actions taken by an open mind.

Recently, on a discussion board, I posted this question about this film. What about the concepts in the film, (dark matter, multiverses, spontaneous duplication and "mindful" creation) specifically offered by highly respected scientists about the order of things as seen through their eyes as they attempt to discover how our world developed? Several prominent scientists/mathematicians, and one journalist/investigator (I suppose that is the best thing to call him) participated.

We are headed toward a new spiritual paradigm in which exclusionary religious practices will become archaic. That, in my opinion, is probably good, because it makes it much harder to "kill in the name of God" if nobody else agrees that God sanctions killing in Her/His/Its name.
