- The Identity Crisis
[Self-Improvement] If only young people will realize that individuality is the aim of political liberty that the world is put back by everyone who chooses to sacrifice his or her talents, values, principles and character on the altar of conventionality. That the real tragedy of life is the tragedy of the man who never braces himself up to face his fears, who never stretches to his full capacity and who never stands up to be himself.
- Cradles Of Eminence
[Self-Improvement:Leadership] One of the qualities that make men exceptional, that pushes them onward to success or drags them to failure, is their habit. By nature men are alike but their habits carry them far apart. Our habits, though little as they seem, determine our character and our character determines our destiny.
- Realistic Dreams
[Self-Improvement:Motivation] The wish to have or be something, especially one that seems difficult to achieve is an innate desire in every one of us. The quest of all mankind, whether it is admitted or not, is for a life of significance.
For any youth to live a life of significance he or she needs a focus to achieve his or her dreams or goals in life but many who have eyes perish for lack of vision and sometimes we need to be blind before we can truly see. Most young people are dreamers, living tin their dreams and forgetting that a dream is not something that you make up from, but something that wakes you up. Some sleep while they live; others live what they dream.
- Lifes Values
[Self-Improvement:Goal-Setting] Over time I have come to realize that the three most important subjects in the world to man are sex, property and religion. By the first we create life, by the second we maintain life and by the third we hope to continue life in the world to come. But I have also come to realize that it is not our sex, our interests swarm about our own egos, self-worth or self-esteem.
Someone said “No one can fall in love if he is even partially satisfied with what he has or who he is. The experience of falling in love originates in an extreme depression, an inability to find something that has value in everyday life. The ‘symptom’ of the predisposition to fall in love is not the conscious desire to do so or the intense desire to enrich our lives, it is the profound sense of being worthless and of having nothing that is valuable and the shame of not having it.”
Self-esteem therefore is a powerful human need without which we will be vulnerable to various situations ranging from failure in school to failure in relationships. Young people, since they are profoundly uncertain, unsure of there worth and often ashamed of themselves frequently full in love.
- Realistic Living
[Self-Improvement:Inspirational] " The fountain of content must spring up in the mind,
and he who hath so little knowledge of human nature as
to seek happiness by changing anything but his own
disposition, will waste his life in fruitless efforts
and multiply the grief he purposes to remove." –
Samuel Johnson
The one person, who is of more importance to you than
anyone else in the world, is just - YOU. And it is
your conception of yourself that determines your
relationship to life, and with everyone else with whom
you come in contact.
What do you know about you? The real you, not just
your physical body but your mind, consciousness and
identity that no one else really knows. What do you
know about life? The only thing that most of us really
know is that we are alive; but what that life is many
of us have not been able to discover.
